Timo - I just tried the following on Drupal 6 sandbox and it worked as expected.
* Create a contact w/o address
* Create a contact w/ address
* Go back and edit first contact, and mark "Share Address"
* Picked contact 2 from the autocomplete and saved

http://sandbox.drupal6.civicrm.org/civicrm/contact/view?reset=1&cid=108&context=search

Can you provide detailed steps for what you did that wasn't working.

Hi David,
Thanks for your fast answer! I first detected the behavior at this contact:
http://sandbox.drupal6.civicrm.org/civicrm/contact/view?reset=1&cid=50&context=search
At your contact the behavior is fine, I don't get the difference.

I've verified the behavior, but don't understand it either. The new contacts I've created (as well as the demo user contact - "Kurund Jalmi" work properly when you:
- Click Additional Address
- Click the Share Address checkbx

However, when trying the same thing with the sample data contacts, nothing happens when you check the "Share Address" box for a 2nd address (e.g. in the Additional Address fieldset):
http://sandbox.drupal6.civicrm.org/civicrm/contact/view?reset=1&cid=50
http://sandbox.drupal6.civicrm.org/civicrm/contact/view?reset=1&cid=35
etc.

I am seeing warnings and some errors in the FireFox error console, but they don't seem related to this:

Error: $ is not a function
