Trailing Slash in Extensions Directory stops Installs

Using: Wordpress:
If the extensions directory is specified using a trailing slash, the modules to install appear but receive an error in the install, indicating that the plugin directory '<plugin directory>//<plugin>' cannot be found. Removing the trailing slash fixes the error.

Resolution would be to either correct functionality, or include notification in the 'choose directories' page
