      Description

Optimize navigation and improve access to reports:

      • Create component filtering option for both report listings and report template listings
      • Put links to filtered report listing in each of the component menus (e.g. Contributions -> Contribution Reports, Contacts -> Contact Reports, etc.)
      • Remove sample report instances from the 'Reports' menu and replace with links to filtered reports listing (Contact Reports, Contribution Reports, etc.)
      • Add button to 'Create New $componentName Report' in each filtered report list
      • Rename page and menu items 'Create Reports from Templates' to 'Create New Report from Template'

NOTE: For upgrades, the new filtered listing links will be added to the existing Reports menu. Given that users may have made numerous changes to that menu we can't rebuild it.

      — original post ----
I'm working on a notebook, and the report menu height doesn't fit into the small screen and that triggered a discussion.

This menu is really long and scary for users (feedback I had "never looked at it. too big"). Wouldn't it be better to
      a) create sub items (contributions, contacts...)
      b) Create "reports" sub items into the main contacts/Contributions... and move the relevant reports into it?
