      Description

      i sure do appreciate what you folks are doing, and i do hope Nonviolent Peaceforce can use it someday. i've got today's civicrm snapshop, civicspace0.8.5, CentOS4.3, mysql-4.1.20-1.RHEL4.1, php-4.3.9-3.12. was hoping to get civimail going but it's looking like we'll have to go to constantcontact.com for now. we can get as far as the test mailing, but at civicrm/mailing/queue we get:

      Sorry. A non-recoverable error has occurred.

      Database Error Code: Access denied for user 'mycivic'@'192.168.0.3' to database 'civicrm', 1044

      Return to CiviCRM menu.

      [message] => DB Error: insufficient permissions
      [mode] => 16
      [debug_info] => CREATE TEMPORARY TABLE X_1

      [type] => db_error
      [user_info] => CREATE TEMPORARY TABLE X_1
      (contact_id int primary key)
      ENGINE=HEAP [nativecode=1044 ** Access denied for user 'mycivic'@'192.168.0.3' to database 'civicrm']
      [to_string] => [db_error: message="DB Error: insufficient permissions" code=-26 mode=callback callback=CRM_Core_Error::handle prefix="" info="CREATE TEMPORARY TABLE X_1

      ENGINE=HEAP [nativecode=1044 ** Access denied for user 'mycivic'@'192.168.0.3' to database 'civicrm']"]
      )

      i dunno what to make of that, access clearly was not denied while building and sending the test mailing.

      i'll be glad to follow up with whatever might be helpful...

      regarding requirements, i am a tad confused, civicspace says php5 is not supported and civimail says php5 is required! so i tried this on fedora4.92 (php-5.1.4-8), but it sure looks like civispace indeed won't run on php5, instead of the expected civicspace page i get only this in my browser window:

      {head} {styles}

      {BLOCK.header.logo} {BLOCK.header.site_name}

      {secondary_links} {primary_links}

      {BLOCK.header.search_box}
      {BLOCK.header.blocks}
      {BLOCK.header.title} Please login to access this page.
      {BLOCK.footer.message}

      another question, on the CiviCRM Configuration page it says "Make sure you can fetch http://DRUPALBASE/modules/civicrm/extern/soap.php", well, it doesn't give any error, but it gives me merely a blank page. is that failure or is that success?

      thanks again,
