Ajax problems with payment options in IE7 & IE8

            Description

            One of our clients found this issue.

            The recent Civi upgrade seems to have changed how the payment options are handled for events - namely,
            it now loads the appropriate forms via ajax, after the user has selected a payment option. However, the ajax doesn't work in IE7 and IE8. I'm not sure why, but I notice in the consoles something throwing an error in IE7 and IE8 because jquery is trying to access nth-of-type (maybe the version of jquery that the latest version of Civi uses doesn't support IE lt 9?).

            They are using Auth.net.
