            When "Member Signup and Renewal" page is configured to use a "Membership Price Set" instead of listed membership types, registration screen shows a notice:

            Notice: Undefined index: auto_renew in CRM_Member_BAO_Membership::buildMembershipBlock() (line 756 of /home/deepak/svn/civicrm42/CRM/Member/BAO/Membership.php).

            This has already been fixed in v4.3 by David Greenberg under http://issues.civicrm.org/jira/browse/CRM-11148, commit r43798.
