Default Membership Type not selected - Contribution Form

When adding a new Contribution Page, the third tab "Membership Settings" and subcategory "Membership Types" contains a box with all of the Membership Types available. You can select one of these to be the default membership.

Regardless of which membership is selected as default, the option is never checked when you view the actual contribution page. I would have expected the default membership to have its radio button already checked on the contribution page.

I have tried this with multiple member types and experience the same result.
