Membership descriptions not showing up on contribution forms

As of 4.2 the membership_type.description was no longer displayed in online contribution forms - membership signup and renewal blocks. I don't believe this change was intentional - but was apparently not 'noticed' during the 4.2 cycle. At this point I don't think it makes sense to revert to the 4.1 behavior as this would suddenly expose text that was not present previously and might be inappropriate. In the future if displaying descriptions are seen as important - their display on the contribution form should be configurable (i.e. display description or not) OR their should be separate 'internal use' and 'public' description.

For now, I've modified the help text to reflect the current behavior ("Description if for internal use.")

This page states the membership description is for display on signup forms:

However the description is not shown here:
http://drupal.demo.civicrm.org/civicrm/contribute/transact?reset=1&id=2

Has this functionality been deliberately disabled? If so we need to change the text.

If it's a bug, please re-enable the descriptions showing on the contribution pages.
