civicontribute does not seem to handle household and organization record

The import procedure for indivduals has a selection for "individual" "household" or "organization"

There is notsuch selection while trying to inport a contribution for households. The individual import works but I am having trouble importing household information. I tried using the household contact-ID. After the import the contribution table shows an entry for the contact ID which was used but, the house hold does not show any contributions when clicking on the contributions tab. Adding a contribution using the web interface works.

I have about 1000 contributions to import. Is this possible?

Contribution Import should also allow import for organization.
