the CiviCrm Joomla Access Module Is broken

when modifying acl using the joomla access control component (through the Civi admin interface) when you click save you get redirected to the Joomla Global Config page when I try to save

i have worked out that when you have move the the default joomla groups everything fails, remove the number of groups to counter the ones you create and it works
