Date custom data not shown on confirm screen for participants

I observed this on 4.2.9 & behaviour seems to persist but to be slightly different on 4.3. It will be easier to follow if you use http://drupal.demo.civicrm.org/civicrm/event/register?reset=1&id=13 before the data is refreshed

4.2.9 - if you have a custom date field on the profile available to additional participants and they fill it in the data from the previous custom field will be presented in place of the data for this field on the Confirm & Thank you screens (email is fine). I hacked my way around this on 4.2.9 using this patch - I think looking at this you can see the point at which the date is being passed into CRM_Utils_Date::format as a string when that function expects an array

• If you have a non-paid event the confirm screen is not shown & the thank you screen does not show any of the data from the custom fields
• If the event is paid the custom date field is left blank for both the main & second participant
