Cannot create contributions using a priceset for certain dollar amounts.

When attempting to create a contribution in the backoffice, certain priceset-driven amounts are rejected with the error message:

Please correct the following errors in the form fields below:

Please enter a valid amount.

I have already reproduced this in the public sandbox for CiviCRM at the URL http://drupal.demo.civicrm.org

To recreate this issue:

1) Click the button "Create New ... Contribution"

2) Choose any contact, and any financial type

3) Choose the priceset I created called "Test Issue"

Fill in the priceset numbers as follows:
6th Grade Tuition 7718
Tutoring Fee 3273
Supplies and Materials Fee 327
Dues 18764

(Note: this should add up to: $300.82 )

4) Fill in payment instrument as check, fill in any check number

5) Click the "Save" button

You will now see the error message about an invalid amount
