Notices when saving back-office event registrations

            Description

            This seems like a new regression - although I can't figure out what changed.

            Any time I use 'Add Event Registration' for a sample event from Contact -> Events tab I get these notices.

            Notice: Undefined variable: ids in CRM_Event_Form_Participant->postProcess() (line 1459 of /Users/dgg/git/crm_v4.4/CRM/Event/Form/Participant.php).
            Notice: Undefined variable: ids in CRM_Event_Form_Participant->postProcess() (line 1470 of /Users/dgg/git/crm_v4.4/CRM/Event/Form/Participant.php).

            Same problem on 4.4 demo (but we're not displaying notices so only shows up in the log).
