Search Builder - Contributions Dates ignored, search results incorrect

I am trying to search for all contacts with who made contributions in 2006.

To do this I am using Search Builder, Include Contacts where
Contribution where Receive Date is ">" 20060101

or alternatly formatting the date in sql date compliant format 2006-01-01

The search results return all the records who have contributions for any period.

It looks like the date field is not being evaluated correctly. If I search for the
contributions by date that works fine, but I need to create smart groups of
contacts who contributed.
