Error message on submitting a new profile form

            Description

            I had a new publicly accessible contact creation form. Users reported the following message on submitting:

            Warning: in_array() expects parameter 2 to be array, null given in ... /administrator/components/com_civicrm/civicrm/CRM/Core/Permission.php on line 262

            The issue seems to have been resolved by adding a thank you page.
            I know is is probably because the ACL is improperly set somewhere but It seems like at least it's worth checking
