Similar to issue for contribution chapter.There is a lot of repetition in the membership chapter and it still doesn't cover all the nuances of say, how to combine duration and period type and fixed period rollover day.
Possible layout is the existing intro, a section on things to decide about your membership(s) and then how to set up.
The section on things to decide should include:
one or more than one; concurrent or not; duration pointing out difference between one year and 12 months for fixed membership, rolling or fixed, with/without rollover day.
Inherited or not,
Status, how many of new, current, (ending??) ,grace, lapsed, expired.

Offer one membership on each contribution page ( guding peole to the right choice with questions in your CMS Or one page offerring all choices or somewhere in between
