Batch Data Entry screen does not display data for "type" column

I have reproduced this in the public sandbox. When viewing the screen at "Contributions ... Batch Data Entry" the "type" column is always empty. ( URL is http://drupal.demo.civicrm.org/civicrm/batch?reset=1)

As part of researching this in my local environment (was 4.2.7, later upgraded to 4.3.x and later to version 4.4.4) I noticed that the option group for "batch_type" had values of 0 for both options. I changed the values in my local environment to match the values in the public sandbox ( ie Contribution = 1 and Membership = 2 ) After fixing the option values in my environment, I still have the same issue as reported for the public sandbox.
