            Description

            When importing a CSV file that includes contact references, it is required to contain the CiviCRM identifier number for the target contact.

            If you're importing data from an external source, this is probably an unknown. So it would be very useful to be able to accept other ways of looking up the target contact (e.g. accept an external identifier).
