Upgrade to 4.5 from 4.4.6 fails with 'Retry' or 'Skip' only on screen

            Description

            Upgrade from 4.4.6 to 4.5 using 4.5 beta 7 fails. See screen attached, and see forum http://forum.civicrm.org/index.php/topic,33367.0.html System then seems to be at 4.5 but doesn't function - simple search produces crash - backtrace (attached).
            FYI, 4.4.6 system had custom fields but they were all deleted prior to conversion.
