      Description

      Problem:

There doesn't appear to be a way to set a custom value for a 'contribution page' to populate a 'contribution' custom field even though there is a way to send a custom field value in a url to a contribution page.
      https://issues.civicrm.org/jira/browse/CRM-4467

Desired behaviour (mimic event custom fields):

If an event custom field is created, you can set the value (per event) when creating / editing an event. This value is then accessible when processing the event form.

Solution for contributions may include creating a 'contribution page' custom field to do the same as events. The value of which could then be applied to a 'contribution' custom field (with the same name?) when a contribution is made via that contribution page.

      Side note:
The need for this comes from requiring finance codes to be applied to contributions to automate allocation of funds.
