Add hook to allow external modules to add tabs to the contact page.

In Drupal E-Commerce with CiviCRM 1.4 I was able to add tabs to the contact page add additional information directly to the contact.

With the changes to 1.6 this is no longer possible without directly editing CRM/Contacts/Page/View/Tabbed.php

Would it be possible to add a hook which will allow tabs to be added from the system without needing to edit the above file. Also if it will be possible to have a weight on these tabs so that new tabs can be added to a certain position of the tabs.
