Editing pledge payment date/amount does not work in a pop up

I have already reproduced this in the public sandbox at: http://d45.demo.civicrm.org/

To reproduce this issue:
1) Go to the Pledge tab for a contact. Then click the triangle to expand a pledge.

2) Click the "Edit" link for one particular pending pledge payment.

3) Change the payment due date and then click the "Save" button.
Nothing happens after clicking "Save". I am just stuck on that screen

FYI: The only work-around I have found is going to the "Administer ... Custom Data and Screens ... Display Preferences" then unchecking the box labeled "Enable Popup Forms"
