Multi-select custom contact reference field

In CiviCRM, you can create a custom field that is a contact reference. E.g., in our implementation, we have a custom field 'organizer' on an event, which is a contact.

Now in some cases, an event has 2 organisers. So for this use case, it would be nice if CivicCRM would support multi-select custom fields for contact references.

So here is my feature request
