Descriptions not displayed in Profile

I have a user define profile that updates two elements of a persons record. While the function works, the item descriptions are not displayed as they used to be. See snapshot below. For example, the Tags should have the labels Aliyah Cert , Major Donor , No Gifts , PrintLabel , Volunteer
However, as you can see from the example, only the tick boxes are visible.
In my case I can guess the right options, but for some others it might get a bit complicated. The labels seems to be displayed elsewhere okay.
