      Description

When creating a soft credit for a fundraiser, if you then modify the transaction adding a a PCP credit on the same transaction, the transaction is shown twice in the soft credit section of the contact record. See screenshot attached:

      To reproduce per demo site:
      1) Open a individual user (I used Teresa Blackwell)
      2) Create a donation, soft credit to someone (I used Alexia Terry)
      3) Look at Alexia Terry's contribution record, you will see 1 soft credit - i.e. the one created above.
      4) Go back to the original contribution by Teresa Blackwell, and edit it, and set the PCP page to be Alexia Terry's page.
      5) You'll now see two of the same transaction - one showing the PCP page, one showing N/A. A quick mouseover shows the transaction ID for both to be the same.

          ... for investigation.

This is more of a feature than a bug - given that the (staff) user is able to associate any number of soft credits of various types with a given contribution. In the case you've described, there are actually 2 soft credit records in the database (hence 2 rows in the Soft Credit listing). The id value you noted from mousing over the link is the id of the actual contribution record (which is indeed the same for both the manually attributed "Solicited" soft credit and the soft credit which indicates that a contribution came in via Alexia Terry's PCP page). The amounts for the two soft credit listings might even be different if the staff person assigned different 'value' to the Solicited, In Honor of, etc soft credit. (Screenshot attached with that example.)
