      Description

      CiviCrm version: 1.6.8703 (Drupal)
      Drupal version 4.7.6

I want to localise Currency display to AUD (Austrlian Dollars), but this is not listed as an option in the current version of CiviCRM.

The issue tracker shows this as being fixed in 1.7 by moving such settings to the Database:
      http://issues.civicrm.org/jira/browse/CRM-1429
Of course this is not released yet.

The FAQ suggests that the setting gets changed in the settings file:
      http://faq.civicrm.org/index.php?action=artikel&cat=323927&id=55&artlang=en

But I suppose that that should be regarded as out of date, as it seems it is set in the CiviCRM Administrative interface.

So for version 1.6 where do you add locales or is it the case that currency localization for Australia awaits the 1.7 release
