Cannot filter by date field on civiCRM entitiy in views

• Create a new view in Drupal
• select CiviCRM events as the content
• add event created date as a filter criteria

You should see a form to enter values to filter that date by; you don't. It works for Drupal native entities, but not civiCRM content.
