Search Builder : searching on Date = X does not work as expected for date / time fields

Using Search Builder to filter on any date / time field (e.g. Receipt Date) = YYYYMMDD does not work as expected because the query is only looking at date, not time.

Example: A contribution with Receipt Date = 20150908 08:20 will NOT match Receipt Date = 20150908. User will need to search on Receipt Date > 20150908 and < 20150909 if they need to search on an single date.

Just ran into something new. I was searching for contributions with the receipt date set to today but couldnt find them. Turns out that operator is broken. When searching with operator > (greater than) it worked out ok. See attached screenshots from the sandbox.
