      Description

The first time you try to dedupe contacts in a certain group, the dedupe exceptions rules are not checked.

      Steps to recreate

Create an environment where you have a number of contacts added to the 'dedupe exceptions' list. And some of these contacts appear in a smart group.

      • Run a dedupe rule, targeting just the group
      • You will see a list of (for example) 50 entries
      • Click merge on two contacts that you know are in the exceptions list
      • You wil see an error message that 'the contacts are added to the exceptions list'
      • You will be returned to the dedupe list screen, and there will be fewer contacts listed, the exceptions have now been excluded from the search
      • But when you choose 'merge' on a contact it is no longer possible to navigate to next/previous contacts
