Monish,
I was looking at CRM_Contact_BAO_SavedSearch using phpstorm & I see the error in the attached screenshot.
I would be very surprised if it does not cause an error - & I think the duplicate var was in code you added so passing to you to look at
PS if you don't use phpstorm this is why you should & if you don't have it it would be a good investment of core team funds to get you a copy
