Search criteria lost after editing a transaction (slow query issue)

I tried editing (refunding) a transaction from a contribution search - ie. using the edit button from the search. It was reported as being 'extremely slow' - however I found the slowness that I witnessed was because I was returned to the search screen but without any criteria - meaning that all contributions were retrieved even though I only had 63 originally
