      Description

Price set fields that are set to visibility "Admin" are displayed as "Public" on public event registration pages.

Confirmed on my installation of 4.6.10 and on the demo 4.6.11.

In attached screenshot, price sets labeled "free $50 ticket" and "free $25 ticket" and "guest" are set to Visibility = Admin

Eliet Henderson I tested this on my 4.6 install and the only circumstance that the 'Admin' visibility price field is displayed is when I am logged in to the site as a user with 'administer CiviCRM' permission. This seems like reasonable behavior. Can you verify that the 'Admin' only fields are displayed to anonymous users / users who do NOT have 'administer CiviCRM' permission?

Hi Dave you're right, the error I reported is only the case when logged in as a user with admin permission. Thanks for catching the difference.

However, it seems like strange behavior to me to show those admin fields on a public-facing page, even when logged in w admin permission. I would expect admin-only fields to appear only when registering a contact via the admin interface. Just my two cents...

Some admins use the "public pages" to record contributions and do event registration (instead of using back-office forms) because they can fill in profile fields etc. at the same time.
