WordPress plugin checks for dependencies and immediately fails for lack of CURL

            Description

            Was going through my first set-up on vanillia Debian Jessie box.

            I installed php5, apache2, and other components, but not php5-curl package that includes Curl for PHP.

            I am presented with a screen to check I have everything configured correctly after unzipping and activating 4.7beta3 download. The screen immediately displays a message indicating that Curl is not available.
