Description
Hi guys,
I have been up and down JIRA looking for this issue, and while some tickets come close, they are just not quite, but you may decide otherwise...
When editing just the payment instrument of a contribution, the financial transactions created do not carry the financial type of the initial financial transaction, so if someone uses the accounting batch screen or bookkeeping transaction report and filters on the financial type, they will only see the initial financial transaction with the out-dated payment instrument. Conversely, if one filters on payment instruments, lines will appear without any financial types. This is not the case, however, when the amount of a contribution is changed - the financial transactions DO preserve the financial type. See attached screen shot for visual reference.
Thanks,
Tamar
