CiviCRM event shortcodes fail in WordPress 4.4.2 wihout highjack=1

            Description

            We have just upgraded WordPress from 4.1.2 to 4.4.2, with a plan to upgrade from CiviCRM 4.6.2 to 4.7.3 While CiviCRM was still at 4.6 the shortcode of e.g.
            [civicrm component="event" id="8" action="info" mode="live" hijack="0"]
            stopped working, stopped bringing in the event. Behaviour same after upgrade to CivCRM 4.7.3

            If we change to `hijack="1"` the event form displays, replacing the WP content on the page for for the event (the part specified in the content composer) as expected. The surrounding WP content, including the Event Details, remains.
