Creating any Print/Merge documents from Membership results in blank page

Cannot recreate in Joomla demo due to Joomla demo being 4.6.18

Steps to see issue in CiviCRM 4.7.10
1. Go to Memberships, Find Memberships, Select any membership Criteria
2. Make selection of member or members
3. From Actions drop down select: Print/Merge documents for Memberships

4. Select any template (with no tokens, custom tokens)
Note: page URL- http://www.site.org/administrator/?option=com_civicrm&task=civicrm/member/search&_qf_PDFLetter_display=true&qfKey=022b7fb458e1a439350baf2e57d806d4_3848

5. Select any document type

6. Select Download Document

Result: Blank page with the following URL:
http://www.site.org/administrator/?option=com_civicrm&task=civicrm/member/search

Note. This also occurs when using Advanced Search and "Display Results as" = Memberships and the same search criteria.
