Support financial batches in hook_civicrm_searchTasks

I would like to add some custom actions that can be executed on financial batches. I tried to do this with hook_civicrm_searchTasks, but it turns out that batches are not supported.
It would be cool if we could make this work. But it is not trivial, since the financial batch search form works different than most other search forms.
