Description
When date fields are included in profiles on contribution pages, they always appear in American date format (MM-DD-YYYY) on the confirmation page regardless of what the Localisation settings are in Administer/Localisation/Date Formats or Administer/Customize Data and Screens/Date Preferences.
I have tested this on both the 4.7 and 4.6 demo versions of Civi and can confirm that this is a problem with the Individual/Birth Date profile field.
