Demo master fatal error when selecting Search > Find Activities

            Description

            Whilst debugging a problem on a live site where trying to include a custom field in an activity report leads to a fatal error, I found https://issues.civicrm.org/jira/browse/CRM-18048, which describes pretty much what I'm seeing on a much earlier version of CiviCRM (4.4.12).
            In trying to test a possible workaround on the demo master (http://dmaster.demo.civicrm.org/) I couldn't even get the system to 'Search' > 'Find Activities' - it just gave a fatal error: "DB Error: no such field".
