"Auto Renew Required" is not enforced during membership registration using priceset.

To reproduce, create a membership type and use this setting, "Auto-renew option: Auto- renew Required." Create a Contribution page for your membership type with online signup.

With the above set, in the contribution signup page, Auto-renew is checked by default but can be unchecked, and the contribution may be completed without error.

The expected behavior is that if Auto-renew is unchecked and the user continues with "make contribution", the user should get an error like any other required field. Such as:

Auto-renew is a required field.
