Editing profiles from Drupal 8 user page, WSOD

            Description

            When you go to edit a user in Drupal 8, then go to edit one of the profiles for the user, such as "Name and Address" /user/[uid]/edit/profile/1

            WSOD

            I know that the code is outdated due to D8 APi changes since beta, but I am unsure at this point whether this is a problem in civicrm-core or civicrm-drupal ATM

            WSOD seems to be a Core issue, getting:
            PHP Fatal error: Call to undefined function variable_get() in /Applications/MAMP/htdocs/drupal825/libraries/civicrm/CRM/Core/BAO/CMSUser.php on line 102
