Flexibility with Date Selection

It would be very useful for the date selection to be more flexible to allow only the year to be selected without picking a day or month. I have a lot of legacy data where they only recorded age, and while of course having their exact birth date is preferable, I would prefer to have some information rather than none or inaccurate info (i.e. January 1st 1976, which is how it store 1976 currently).
