Description
For contributions for which a thank-you has not been sent, if a thank-you is manually recorded, the logged-in user now appears as the source of the contribution.
This thank-you now appears under the logged-in user's activity record with the date of the original contribution.
- "Search" > "Find Contributions"
- Expand "Edit Search Criteria" drop-down box
- Set "Thank-You sent?" set to "No"
- Hit "Search"
Choose any individual contribution not made by the logged-in user. Note the donor name (e.g., Princess Bachman-Lee), contribution amount, original source or "Added By" (e.g., blank) and date (e.g., 12/01/2009) of the contribution.
- On far right, select "Edit"
- In "Additional Details" drop-down box (towards bottom), select today's date for "Thank-you Sent"
- Save changes
Now find the contact record for the donor whose contribution you just changed. Go to their activity record ("Activities" tab). Remove all activity type filters.
Under the contribution you just added a "Thank-you Sent" notation for, the "Added By" column now shows the contact record for the logged-in user instead of the donor (see Figure 1).
Go to the contact record for the logged-in user. Select the "Activities" tab. The edited contribution now appears in the activity record for the logged-in user with the date of the original contribution (Figure 2).
