Description
When exporting a group of contacts for a mailing:
1) if that group includes a deceased or do not mail contact who shares an address with a non-deceased or mailable contact and
2) the deceased/do not mail contact has a higher contact ID than the non-deceased/mailable contact and
3) Merge all contacts with the same address is selected and
4) Postal Mailing Export: Exclude contacts with "do not mail" privacy, no street address, or who are deceased is selected.
THEN -> The deceased and non-deceased or mailable and do not mail contacts will be merged in the export.
This is only an issue if merge all contacts with the same address is selected. If it is not, the deceased/do not mail contact is not in the export, as expected.
Seems the contacts are being merged, then the deceased and do not mail contacts removed, while it should be the other way around.
Practically, the end result is that couples in which one person has died are receiving mailing addressed to both the alive and deceased contacts, which is very undesirable, especially for donors, etc. who may be upset or frustrated that the org is not updating their list, even if they have provided the info to the org. The end result is disrespectful, from the recipients perspective.
