Custom Data field type that generates a relationship and allows relationship data to be exported

Currently there is no way to export data stored as relationships along with contacts. The exception is the Current Employer field. Extending the functionality of the Current Employer field to apply to other relationships would be immensely helpful.

One idea could be to have a new Data and Input Field Type option when creating a Custom Data Field (called "Relationship" for example) that would prompt you to choose from the available Relationships configured in the system. This would create a field that was functionally the same as what currently exists for the Current Employer field.

This would allow:

• CiviCRM to collect and use relationship data via Profiles (in my case, allowing event registrants to fill out their School being the most obvious and useful one)
• Administrators to add relationship entries while filling out the normal Contact Edit form
• Exporting of Custom data with contacts
