Custom Date Fields and Contribution Search Irregularities

Create a custom field associated with contributions and set it to be a date type and set it to be searchable.

Enter a new contribution with date information entered into the custom date field created.

When you search using the Advanced Search feature and search in the Contributions section with a date specified in your custom date field it performs as expected. However when you use the Find Contributions feature to search using the same criteria, it returns all contributions rather that those specified in the date range search.
