This feature came up on the NTEN Webinar with Dave Greenburg, and he thought it could potentially make it into 2.1.
Accounting codes are currently not sent to PayPal via the PayPal API. As of right now, our finance department would have to download the PayPal settlement file and export the transactions out of Civi reconcile the two in order to post the entries to the correct account. It would make more sense if the accounting codes were passed along to PayPal, so that all the needed information would be included in the PayPal settlements file.
