Error during batch update process, if only custom data included in profile

Steps To Replicate
a) Create custom data group Used For = Participants >> Volunteers : Label = Booth Number, Data Type = Alphanumeric Field Type = Text
b) Create Profile w/ 2 fields: Participants -> Participant Role; Participants -> Booth Number
c) Find Participants: Event = Fall Fundraiser, Role = Volunteer
d) Select all, task = Batch Update Via Profile
e) Enter a booth number in one or more rows and hit "Update Participants"
f) Create Custom data group Used For = Participants >>Any: Label = Booth Name, Data Type = Alphanumeric Field Type = Text
g)Create Profile w/ 2 fields: Participants -> Booth Number ; Participants -> Booth Name
h) Find Participants: Event = Fall Fundraiser, Role = Volunteer.

1)If Insert some values in "Booth Name", and click on Update;
