Both these fieldsets currently require user to choose between "create new" and "select existing". However, the user often does not know for sure whether the "related" organization or household exists or not. Per Xavier's suggestion on the forum (link below) - we'll combine these two options. The user starts typing in the name they're looking for. If they get a match, then can select it. If not, typing in the complete (new) employer or household name and saving will add the new record (along with the relationship).
- Replace the existing on-screen help text below the dojo input field with this text:
"Enter the first letters of the name of the employer to see available organizations. If the employer organization doesn't exist yet, type in the new organization name."
- Clearing the field should remove (delete) the relationship (but not the related contact record).
- Currently, we also display the full address info for a selected record to the right of the input field. If we can display the string "(new contact record)" to the right of the input field for the "new contact" case - this would be helpful.
