      Description

Two improvements could be made to allow for more user-friendly instructions on getting the wysiwyg editor working.

      1. In the help section of regular emails and civimail compose on screen, the help message for Upload or Compose On-screen should add the following to the bottom:

Note: If you don't see a wysiwyg editor in the HTML text box, you need to enable one at Administer CiviCRM > Global Settings > Site Preferences

      2. If you haven't selected a wysiwyg editor and you go to a compose email page, there should either be a red box that shows up at the top of the screen, or an alert in the HTML text box itself that says:

You need to enable a wysiwyg editor at Administer CiviCRM > Global Settings > Site Preferences
